Hospitalizations from COVID-19 fall

Posted: Friday, December 17, 2021. 6:11 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: The number of persons hospitalized with COVID-19 as of today, Friday, decreased by two from Thursday’s report with 11 persons now hospitalized.

Eight of these are unvaccinated, one partially vaccinated and two fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, three of these 13 persons are in intensive care, all unvaccinated, down from six on Thursday.

Belizeans are reminded to get vaccinated if able as those who are stand the best chance of recovery from COVID, though it depends on the level of infection and risk factors for non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
