By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Minister of Education Francis Fonseca and the Charge d-Affaires of the Qatar Embassy to El Salvador discussed educational and cultural cooperation.
According to a statement on social media by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MoECST), Minister Francis Fonseca and Chief Executive Officer Dian Maheia, “welcomed officials from the Embassy of Qatar in San Salvador, Mr. Tariq Al-Othmam and Ms. Jenny Iglesias, for a courtesy call at our Ministry’s office in Belize City.”
“The discussions held focused on building relations based on our shared interests and common goals and included opportunities for expanding educational and cultural cooperation,” said the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry of Education said Qatar is a nation situated in western Asia on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula that has a vibrant culture and an extensive history dating back almost 50,000 years ago”.
“Over the past couple of decades, Qatar has made tremendous investments and advances in education and science and technology while holding on to its culture and history,” said the MoECST.
