Daily numbers of cases in major municipalities decline slightly

By Aaron Humes: There was a reduction in midweek COVID-19 cases in certain areas as reported by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

Belize City recorded 240 new cases, down from 300-plus on Tuesday.

The mainland Belize District reported 325 cases in all including 17 more in Ladyville and 11 more in Caye Caulker, while San Pedro reported 67 more.

There were 199 new cases in Cayo District including 87 between the Twin Towns, 28 in Belmopan and 17 in Benque Viejo.

Corozal Town reported 23 of 63 new cases and Orange Walk Town 43 of 106 with another 18 in Trial Farm.

More than half of Stann Creek District’s 82 new cases were reported in Dangriga, 45, while Punta Gorda Town recorded 24 of 36 new cases in Toledo District.
