Reports: Dr Shanikka Arnold to withdraw police complaint against Patrick Faber

Posted: Thursday, January 20, 2022. 9:30 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News has seen copies of what appear to be formal documents signed by Shanikka Arnold suggesting that she no longer requests court action against Leader of the Opposition and fiancé Patrick Faber on charges of harm, common assault, and damage to property.

The first is a purported statement by Arnold to a Justice of the Peace made after 5 p.m. this evening in which she states inter alia that in furtherance of her statement of January 19, she no longer wishes to pursue court action against Faber (whose name is misspelled with an extra ‘r’).

The other is a letter from Arnold indicating the same, signed by her and attorneys David Morales and Orson Elrington.

While we have not heard back from the Commissioner as of this writing, we understand he still wants Faber to come in and be booked and have the matter dismissed in court rather than through the Police.
