Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital announces transition to its own team of security guards

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital officially transitioned from using a hired security company to now employing its own in-house security team.

The KHMH Authority (KHMHA) said that the change over was made official at 6:00 a.m., which saw the hospital discontinue the use of the private security company, SOS Security, and roll out its own security staff.

The KHMHA said that the decision to switch to having its own security personnel falls in line with the hospital’s endless pursuit to improve the care and security provided to patients, customers, and staff.

“Having in-house security guarantees better quality control and customer care relations through constant and consistent training. Our security personnel have been properly trained in all aspects of infection control, customer care, and hospital policies,” the KHMHA said.

The hospital authority also asked the public to work with the new security personnel and be patient as they take up their new roles.
