By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in solving the murder case of 18-year-old Belize city resident Joshua Pou.

Pou was shot several times to the body and head on Wednesday, February 9, while on Hercilett Moody Street.

Speaking about Pou’s murder and a number of other cases today, Communications Director for the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood called on the public and the media to assist police in getting the necessary information for the investigations.

“I am urging the public if they have knowledge of any of these crimes to contact us. We have our 922 operator working 24 hours a day, we have 911 and every one of our stations countrywide,” Yearwood said. “We need the public in helping us to solve these various crimes.”

Joshua Pou’s older brother Albert Pou was shot in Belize City, in November last year.
