Lejean Rhamdas fighting for his life after mid-morning downtown shooting

By BBN Staff: Belize City resident Lejean Maurice Rhamdas is fighting for his life in the hospital after a mid-morning shooting on Albert Street.

Police issued an official report on Rhamdas’ condition, noting that he is receiving treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) and is listed in critical but stable condition.

Rhamdas was reportedly at the car wash on Albert Street when two men approached him and began shooting.

He was hit several times to the body and ran off, collapsing in the vicinity of Anglican Cathedral College (ACC).

Police are investigating.
