Belize City sole COVID-19 hotspot

By Aaron Humes: With 24 new cases, Belize City is the sole reporting area with double-digit numbers of COVID-19 cases today.

The mainland Belize District reported 29 cases and San Pedro Town five; the Cayo District 23 including 10 in Belmopan and surrounding suburbs; one in Benque Viejo Town; and three in the Twin Towns.

Up north Corozal and Orange Walk combined for 31 new cases, including six in Corozal Town and four in Orange Walk Town.

And in the south, there were 30 new cases combined in Stann Creek and Toledo including seven in Independence, one in Dangriga and five in Punta Gorda.
