Municipal leaders in Taiwan for Smart City Summit and Expo

By Aaron Humes: The Mayors of Belize’s two major cities and one of its largest towns are away in Taipei, Taiwan for the three-day 2022 Smart City Summit and Expo (SCSE) beginning today, Tuesday.

Belmopan Mayor Sharon Palacio along with Mayor Bernard Wagner (Belize City) and Mayor Ladrick Sheppard (Orange Walk) will be participating in Asia’s largest hybrid smart city trade show, which has offered marketing opportunities for applications from home and abroad for the past eight years.

The expo will take place as a hybrid event, physically in Taipei from March 22 to 25 and virtually on its online platform, the Smart City Online. The event hopes to bring together 80,000+ visitors, 300+ exhibitors, with 500+ matchmaking sessions, and 50+ fora.
