Rumberas beat Sagitun GIRLZ 2-0 in National Amateur Women’s League A

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Rumberas defeated Sagitun GIRLZ 2-0 at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence on Saturday in the National Amateur Women’s League A.

In a hotly contested match, Carlene Tillett opened the score in the 61st minute with a magnificent header to put Rumberas ahead 1-0.

When it appeared the match would finish like that, Roshanny Narvaez hit the second in the 89th popping the goalkeeper off a pass from Stephany Barrientos for the final 2-0.

Rumberas, who were inactive in Week 1, now have three points skipping over Sagitun on goal average and are just one point behind the San Pedro Pirates who were held to a 0-0 draw by Jewel Fury.
