Cojac Smith challenges Deon Sutherland for president in Belize Athletics Association elections on Saturday, April 2

Cojac Smith is challenging Deon Sutherland for president of the Belize Athletics Association (BAA) in elections being held today, Saturday, April 2, 2022. at Edward P Yorke

Smith is the only challenger for any of the positions of the BAA Executive Body.

According to Sutherland, only one person per position has been postulated for the other positions. Jaheed Smith has offered himself for vice president, Orville Melendrez for treasurer, and Andrew Pilgrim and Shelmadine Carr for committee members.

The BAA posted on social media a list of 46 members, including two clubs, who can vote.

The BAA elections are being held during the BAA’s annual general meeting at Edward P York High School in Belize City at 10:00 am.
