By BBN Staff: A Belize City resident charged with stealing a woman’s phone is out on bail tonight.

Steven Myers Jr., 22, appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s court on a single charge of theft for the phone which was valued at $450.

He pleaded not guilty and since there was no objection to bail, received bail in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety of the same. Additionally he must stay a minimum of 100 yards from the complainant and must not contact any of the prosecution’s witnesses in the case.

He is due back in court on July 5, 2022.
