By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “We apologize, but the organizing committee has decided that the field is in too bad conditions for our game to be played,” said the Sagitun GIRLZ in a social media post on Sunday morning.

The Sagitun GIRLZ were slated to play the San Pedro Pirates in the National Amateur Women’s League (NAWL) A at 3:00 pm on Sunday evening.

With the heavy rains and after the Rumberas game on Saturday, the Michael Ashcroft pitch is in no condition for a match today.

“We will play the game as a back match at a future date! Thanks for always supporting our ladies!”

The NAWL will set a date for the backmatch.
