Alleged dildo thief out on $600 bail

By BBN Staff: Alleged dildo thief, Joshua Escalante, 25, was finally able to post bail on Tuesday after 11 nights and 10 days on remand at the Belize Central Prison.

Escalante, a Transparent BPO Customer Service agent, was arraigned in court on June 3 on a single count of theft of a sex toy belonging to his cousin.

His cousin, who sells sex toys online, reported that she already had a customer for the 7-inch vibrating sex toy valued at $120 when she realized it was missing. According to the cousin, she later confirmed with Escalante that he had taken it without her consent and pressed charges.

Escalante was brought to Belize City Magistrate Court on Tuesday morning on a removal warrant and his father signed bail for him.

Breaking Belize News understands Escalante has claimed on social media that his case was thrown out but we have confirmed with sources at the court that such is not the case and he is due back in court on August 3.
