By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Around the world, countries implemented new measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we enter the 3rd year of the pandemic and with the access to vaccines, many countries began relaxing regulations including Canada.
As of today, unvaccinated Canadians are able to board flights and trains in Canada.
Since October 2021, anyone who was unvaccinated against COVID-19 was not allowed to board a plane or train in the country.
In addition, Ottawa announced that between June 11 and June 30, random COVID-19 testing of in-bound vaccinated passengers at airports would be discontinued.
However, unvaccinated travelers are still required to be tested on-site during that time.
Effective July 1, random testing will be discontinued from Canadian airports and will be done at off-site locations for all travelers.
