By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring 3 tropical waves in the Atlantic.

The first is a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic. It is located south-southwest of Cape Verde and is moving to the west.

Another tropical wave in the eastern Caribbean – west of Grenada, continues to move west.

The third tropical wave being closely monitored is located in the western Caribbean off the coast of Honduras. This tropical wave is triggering some showers and thunderstorms in the region.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize notes that showers and thunderstorms continue to develop around the country as a tropical wave is affecting the country.
