By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize District new and potential beekeepers on Tuesday visited the model apiary at Central Farm in the Cayo District.
The visit was organized by the Belize District Department of Agriculture with the objective of improving beekeeping practices in the district.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise said the model apiary at its research unit in Central Farm was set up through funding received under the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) Honey Expansion Project.
According to MAFSE, Extension Officer Jesse Madrid guides these activities providing information on new technologies and practices in beekeeping.
