Man resisting arrest aggressively subdued by three police officers

By Benjamin Flowers: Three police officers had to aggressively subdue a disorderly man in Belize City last night.

Reports are that a uniformed police officer was attempting to arrest the man in front of BTL Park, and he resisted and became violent.

A video circulated on social media shows the man exchanging punches with the officer before two other officers in camouflage gear came to assist.

The officers managed to wrestle the man to the ground and get him handcuffed.

We note that the events leading up to the violent outburst are still unknown.

The Belize Police Department has yet to issue a formal statement on the incident.
