Belize represented at PAHO conference

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Ministers of Health and other high-level representatives from countries including Belize are meeting this week in Washington D.C.

Representing Belize’s Ministry of Health and Wellness are Minister Kevin Bernard, CEO, Dr. Julio Sabido, and Dr. Melissa Diaz, Director of Public Health and Wellness.

They are attending the Pan American Health Organization’s (PAHO) 30th Pan American Sanitary Conference from September 26 to 30, 2022.

The Pan American Sanitary Conference is the Organization’s highest decision-making body. 

They convene every 5 years to determine general policies of the organization to improve the health and well-being of the population in the region.
