Belize Tourism Industry Association hosting a 2-day course for chefs and sous chefs

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) is hosting a 2-day course for chefs and sous chefs.

The course will be led by Belize’s own renowned chef Sean Kuylen and Belizean food scholar, Dr. Lyra Spang.

The courses will be held at 3 locations: Hopkins on November 1 and 2, on November 4 and 5th in San Ignacio, and in San Pedro on November 7, 2022.

The interactive training will include classroom instruction and hands-on cooking culminating with a demonstration dinner for guests on night 2 at each venue.

Those wishing to participate can do so by contacting the BTIA at 227-1144.

Fees for the course are $300 per person for BTIA members and $400 per person for nonmembers.

Space is limited to 30 students for each of the 3 events.
