Cayo man shot and has his motorcycle stolen

By Benjamin Flowers: A Cayo man is recovering after being shot during a robbery on Saturday.

Police say that 34-year-old Santa Familia Village resident Roquelino Ortega, was on the Branch Mouth Road around 10:40 p.m. when he was approached by three men.

One of the men pulled out a gun and shot him to the body then the group stole his motorcycle and escaped.

Ortega was taken to the Western Regional Hospital where he was treated and listed as being in stable condition.
