By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister John Briceno says that the Government of Belize has commenced its assessment of the damages caused by Hurricane Lisa.

“ It was a long 24 hours… now we assess the damages and put our recovery into action. My fellow Cabinet Ministers and I met in session, received a briefing, and discussed the information gathered from my flyover reconnaissance and reports from our agencies,” the Prime Minister stated.

“Now, we work and we ensure we get help to where it is urgently needed. We look to tomorrow with hope and we will persevere. We will rebuild and recover,” he added.

The Prime Minister reminds everyone to be careful as they return home.

“ Let’s build bridges of support for each other because only together we will rebound as quickly as possible,” the PM reiterated.
