Belize Weather: 19th weekend to begin with showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts lots of rain over the coming holiday weekend.

Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells and mostly cloudy tonight. A few showers will affect most areas and isolated thunderstorms will hit inland and over the south. Tonight, expect an increase in showers especially over the coast.

High temperatures peak at 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees inland and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 76 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is choppy to moderate.

Tides will be low at 12:17 this afternoon then high at 6:17 this evening. The sun sets at 5:16 this evening and rises at 5:59 Saturday morning.

The 19th brings typical weather for this time of the year: cloudy skies at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the north and inland at first, then later along the coast during the night.
