Ladyville resident charged for fatal traffic accident that killed his best friend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Ladyville resident, 19-year-old William Faux was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today on a number of offenses connected to a traffic accident that killed his best friend, Daniel Thompson.

Faux appeared unrepresented in court answering to one count each of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention.

He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 and his next court date was set for January 30, 2023.

Allegations against him are that his negligence led to the accident on October 14th between Miles 11 and 12 on the Philip Goldson Highway and that Thompson died as a result.
