Belizean health professionals benefit from Taiwan’s radiology evaluation mission

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Taiwan’s Chief Radiographer from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital has completed her 2-week evaluation mission in Belize under the “Strengthening Medical Image System (SMIS) Project” between Belize and Taiwan.

The mission was made possible through the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Belize (MoHW), the Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize, and the Embassy of Taiwan.

During the two-week visit, Chief Lin assisted Belizean seed instructors to evaluate 24 radiology technicians at 7 public hospitals around the whole country.

Chief Lin also met with CEO of the Ministry, Dr. Julio Sabido to exchange viewpoints including how to deepen the bilateral radiological cooperation and benefit the Belizean people.

“We thank Chief Lin for her hard work and efforts to further promote the bilateral cooperation in public health between Taiwan and Belize. Taiwan is a trustworthy ally of Belize, the Embassy will continue to work with the Government of Belize to advance the welfare of our two peoples,” the Taiwan Embassy in Belize said.
