International News: Southwest Airlines cancels over 2,000 flights

But by Monday, some U.S. airlines resumed normal business unless travelers had booked with Southwest Airlines.

More than 90% of today’s cancelations were Southwest flights, FlightAware data noted.

Southwest canceled more than 2,500 flights. The next highest: SkyWest, with 77.

The company said that it would continue canceling flights until it could get its operations back on track.

The company’s CEO said this has been the biggest disruption he’s seen in his career.

Meanwhile, other airlines have largely recovered from the holiday winter storm, passengers say that their flights with Southwest have been canceled and canceled.

CEO Bob Jordan apologized to customers and staff in a video message and acknowledged the urgent need for upgrades.
