By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Freetown Kelly Street Bombers have qualified to the final of the Belize City Champions Cup after dropping New Revolution 3-1 in the semifinals.

In the match played on Friday night at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex, Freetown were too much to handle for New Revolution. According organizer Marvin Ottley, Harold Thompson scored a brace in the 12th and 88th minutes while Francisco ‘Peely’ Briceño and Quince Briceño converted in the 61st and 90th+ respectively. .

The Freetown Bombers solved the New Revolution puzzle in the second half after a rather even first half in which Tyriq ‘Hammer’ Ciego, who missed a penalty kick, tied the match in the 35th after the opener by Thompson.

The Freetown Kelly Street Bombers will meet West Lake Port, who dumped Lake I 6-3, in the Final.New Revolution will play Lake I for third place.
