6 persons, including a child and Belize City Councilor injured in traffic accident

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Last night, Belize City councilor Deannie Requena, her son and 4 more people were injured in a road traffic accident on the Hummingbird Highway.

Councilor Requena says that they were returning from Hopkins when the driver lost control near the Blue Hole National Park.

“All I did was turned to my son & shield him as the vehicle went down. We’re okay & still processing the ordeal. This is a traumatizing situation, but we’re thankful that God assigned his angels to cover us,” Requena stated.
