By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During a “Views from Ukraine” panel held virtually this morning, head of the Ukraine Forum and Research Fellow in the Russia and Eurasia Programme at Chatham House, Orysia Lutsevych said that Ukraine cannot be cracked by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“After 1 year of invasion, Ukrainians have overcome the fear of Russia and this has brought enormous empowerment because Ukrainians feel hope despite what is happening…. For the future of Ukraine, we hope for a prosperous economy, because Putin cannot crack Ukraine and Ukraine will stand by to protect every inch of its territory,” Orysia stated.

Orysia further added that Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky rallied the nation of Ukraine and was able to be successful with support from his people and that is the spirit of resilience of the people of Ukraine.

February 24th marks 1 year since Russian’s large scale invasion in Ukraine.
