By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Primary School on Friday won the National Primary Schools Girls Volleyball Championship organized by the National Sports Council and held at the Orange Walk Multi-Purpose Complex. Led by captain Chloe Bowman, Belize City’s Holy Redeemer RC won the Final over the Toledo Christian Academy, led by captain and the tournament’s Most Valuable Player Shanniel Flores, 25-7, 25-20.
Cayo’s Santa Elena Primary School took third place over Stann Creek’s San Juan Bosco in two sets.
In the semifinals, Holy Redeemer defeated Santa Elena in two sets while the Toledo Christian Academy Eagles won over San Juan Bosco two sets to one.
Mary Hill RC from Corozal and Louisiana Government School from Orange Walk also competed in the National Girls Volleyball Championship.
