By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The San Marcos Roman Catholic Primary School from the Cayo District on Friday won the National Primary Schools Volleyball Championship organized by the National Sports Council and held at the Orange Walk Multi-Purpose Complex.
Led by captain and Most Valuable Player Brandon Quintanilla, San Marcos RC won the Final over Belize City’s Holy Redeemer RC 25-18, 17-25, 15-11.

Stann Creek’s Independence Primary won the third-place match over Orange Walk’s Chan Pine Ridge Primary School in two sets.
San Marcos defeated Chan Pine Ridge two sets to one in the semifinals while Holy Redeemer won over Independence two sets to one as well.
Corozal Methodist Primary School and the Toledo Christian Academy also participated in the National Boys Volleyball Championship.
