Heartbreaking tragedy: four family members killed and fifth person injured in Orange Walk collision

>By Breaking Belize News Staff: Tragedy struck on the San Antonio Road in Orange Walk last night, as four members of the Tillett family lost their lives in a horrific road traffic accident.

According to police, the accident occurred around 8:30 pm when a red Ford Ranger pick-up truck with license plate OW 22886, travelling from east to west, was hit by a black Ford F-150 pick-up truck with license plate OW C12991, travelling in the opposite direction. The collision resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles, with the Hispanic male driver of the Ford Ranger pick-up truck trapped inside.

The victims have been identified as Aldair Tillett, aged 28, driving the Ford Ranger; his common-law wife Felsha De La Fuente, aged 27; their 4-year-old daughter Alisha Tillett, and his sister Joanina Tillett, aged 18. All four were travelling in the Ford Ranger and died on the spot. The driver of the black Ford F-150, identified as Byron Tillett, was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk Town by family members.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after the accident and processed the area, drawing a sketch plan of the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the black Ford F-150 appeared to have lost control, causing it to collide with the red Ford Ranger pick-up truck. The incident is currently under investigation.

This tragic accident reminds drivers of the importance of road safety and the need to exercise caution on the roads. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy.
