Justice for Laddie Foundation marks Laddie Gillett’s ‘Sweet 16’

By Aaron Humes: Saturday was a bittersweet occasion for the family of Laddie Gillett as it would have been his 16th birthday.

The Justice for Laddie Foundation posted a series of pictures showing blue and white balloons at his gravesite.

The trial of his accused killer Kareem Martinez concluded earlier this month, with a decision due on April 21.

The Foundation said: “…Our wish for you, our brightest boy that embraced all the happiest moments of life, is for a Sweet Sixteen In Heaven. It’s been over a year since you were taken from us so suddenly and brutally. We continue to fight for #justiceforladdie; on April 21st, we hope Justice Antoinette Moore delivers the verdict and Justice is achieved. We have grieved your loss and continue pursuing Justice, but above all, we have not forgotten the enormous joy you brought into our lives. 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙖𝙙𝙨, 𝙬𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”
