Homeless man pleads guilty to shoplifting from “The It Store” released with a warning

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belize City Magistrate’s Court showed mercy to a homeless man charged with a count of theft today.

Fifty-four-year-old DennisWagner appeared in court charged with stealing from The It Store in Belize City on March 25. Wagner immediately pleaded guilty to the charge.

Despite Wagner pleading guilty, the Senior Magistrate under Section 59-B of the Summary Procedure Act dismissed the charges against Wagner with a warning and he was set free. Reports are that Wagner had gone to steal from inside the store two days in a row until he was caught on the second attempt.
