St. Lucia opposition leader praises UDP Party Leader Shyne Barrow for “inspirational journey”

By Breaking Belize News Staff: St. Lucia’s Opposition leader Allen Chastanet, head of the United Workers Party (UWP) has praised Belize’s Leader of the Opposition Moses Shyne Barrow for his contribution to Belize’s democracy.

Ahead of Barrow’s scheduled appearance at the UWP’s 42nd convention being held in the Capital Soufrière this weekend, Chastanet explained that he met Barrow at an International Democrat Union meeting being held in Washington DC.

“During our extensive discussions, I became amazed at Hon. Barrow’s passion for youth empowerment, social justice, economic development and his ability to navigate challenges that would have dissuaded many people,” Chastanet said. “He has spearheaded various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Belizeans, particularly those living in marginalized communities. He is widely recognized as a charismatic leader with a deep commitment to serving his country and its people.”

He added that Barrow’s “unique perspective” will be valuable to those attending the convention, and commended Barrow for his dedication to serving democracy and Belize.

Barrow delivered the keynote address at the convention this weekend.
