Belize Under-15 Boys National Football Team arrives in Costa Rica to compete in the 2023 Under-15 Uncaf Boys Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under-15 Belize Boys National Team (BBNT) arrives in Costa Rica on Wednesday at 11:00 pm for the 2023 Under-15 Central American Football Union (Uncaf) Boys Championship that kicks off in San José on Friday, April 28, and runs until May 4.

Belize is in Group B along with Honduras, Panama, and Guatemala. Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and invited guests Puerto Rico are playing in Group A.

Belize’s first game will be against Guatemala at 11:00 am on Friday, April 28. The second match will be against Honduras on Sunday, April 30 at 3:00 pm. Belize’s third and final group match will be against Panama on Tuesday, May 2m at 11:00 am.

The Group A games will be played at Liga Deportiva Alajuelense’s High Performance Center in Alajuela, just outside San José.

On Tuesday, the U-15 BBNT lost 2-0 in a preparation match against the Petén U-17 at San Francisco, Petén, before travelling to Costa Rica today.

The U-15 BBNT is coached by Dale Pelayo.
