Department of Co-operatives joins National Fishermen Co-operative Society in mourning the passing of Executive Director/General Manager Barbara Bradley

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Department of Co-operatives said it joins the National Fishermen Co-operative Society Ltd. in mourning the passing of Barbara Bradley, the cooperative’s Executive Director/General Manager, who passed away on Monday.

“Ms. B” as she was fondly called, was a dedicated and respected leader of the National Fishermen Producers Co-operative for over four decades. She began as an accountant in the mid 1970’s and rose to the position of Executive Director/General Manager.

Bradley was instrumental in implementing various social welfare programs for the fisherfolk members, such as medical and funeral benefits, scholarships, and micro loans. She also contributed to the development and execution of policies that strengthened the administration of the co-operative.

Ms. B’s funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 11:00 am.

The Department of Co-operatives said it extends its heartfelt condolences to the Bradley family and the staff and management committee of the National Fishermen Producers Co-operative.
