Prime suspect identified, hunted in Cecil Buckley murder

By Aaron Humes: Police say that hours after his death, they know who the person is that killed taxi operator Cecil Buckley near his home on Ordonez Avenue on Sunday night.

The incident took place just before 6 p.m. and Buckley, 41, was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he died in treatment. He had been shot not far from his home.

This is the second murder in the neighborhood following the killing of Adrian Pook on April 30, and police are concerned that the killer managed to evade their patrols in the area.

No motive was offered though reports suggest the killer may be affiliated with someone of reported high influence in Belize City gang culture. Investigations continue.
