International News: Paid verification on Facebook and Instagram rolls out in the U.K.

According to the BBC, the service gives Facebook and Instagram users a blue tick from £9.99 per month.

Users must be 18 years old and submit a government ID to qualify.

Paid verification for Facebook and Instagram is already available in the US, Australia and New Zealand.

Once approved, the users will get a verified badge which will provide them with increased security and protection from impersonation.
