By Breaking Belize News: The trial of Jervis Faber, charged with manslaughter in the death of his cousin 42-year-old Levan Lewis, ended before it began in court today.
Faber’s trial was scheduled to begin today when a relative of the deceased told the court that the family did not wish to proceed with the matter in court any further.
With that, the prosecution entered a nolle prosequi against Faber and the case was dismissed.
In March 2019, Faber and Lewis got into an altercation, and Faber reportedly hit Lewis in the head causing him to fall to the ground. He was later found to be unresponsive and taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
