Prime Minister welcomes Taiwan’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceño welcomed to Belize Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan Alexander Tah-ray Yui.

“A friend and ally in global politics and development, Belize and Taiwan have shared many aspirations and goals. Hon. Yui and I discussed our continued partnership, areas for collaboration and renewed our pledge of mutual support,” the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Briceño and Vice Minister Yui were joined by Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize Lily Li-Wen Hsu.

This year marks the 34th year of diplomatic relations and friendship between Belize and Taiwan.
