By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Club Atletico started on good footing on Friday night, defeating Bamba’s 2-0 at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Game 1 of the National Amateur Interdistrict Championship Round of 16.

The star of the night was Camilo Sanchez who came off the bench to score a brace to lead the Belmopan-side to victory. The return match comes up next Friday at Independence at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium.

Atletico advanced to the Round of 16 on two 1-0 wins over 7 Miles while Bamba’s drew one (0-0) and lost the other (0-2) to Toledo’s Top Shottaz.
