International News: Firefighter dies in devastating wildfires in Canada

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, authorities confirmed that a firefighter died battling the devastating wildfires in Canada.

According to the Associated French Press, more than 900 fires are currently burning and 570 are out of control.

The British Columbia General Employees Union said the firefighter was injured while responding to a wildfire and died.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that these heroes are risking their lives as they tackle these wildfires.

Over 22 million acres have already burned, officials said.

Both sides of the country are burning at the same time, which is unusual for Canada.
