By Breaking Belize News Staff: Giovanni Thomas Lambey, 26, a stevedore on trial for allegedly pulling a gun on a school warden in April, was given disclosure in his case and denied bail on Thursday.
Lamber appeared unrepresented in court #3 before the Senior Magistrate where he was provided disclosure for the case against him. His matter was adjourned until November when he will stand trial.
Lambey asked if he could be given a bail consideration, however, the magistrate informed him she could not hear the application and set the date for August 16. Lambey was told to come prepared to make submissions as to why he should be granted bail.
Lambey was charged for aggravated assault with a firearm after he allegedly rode up to a school warden on a bicycle and pulled a gun on her and said “Weh wrong with yuh. Yuh disrespect me right in front ah deh police. Yuh wah ah bus this in yuh face.”
According to the warden, after Lambey uttered those words, he rode off on his bicycle. He has since been on remand since at the Belize Central Prison.
