By Aaron Humes: Police have announced charges against Derrick Bull, 40, of Guinea Grass Village, Orange Walk District, for the shooting death of Jael Darrel Jimenez, 19-year-old Belizean Driver of Guinea Grass Village, which occurred on Saturday, July 29.
Police formally arrested and charged Bull today, Thursday.
He has additionally been charged with two counts of aggravated assault committed upon Andy Jimenez and Irene Jimenez, respectively.
These are the brother and mother of Jimenez who told local media that Bull had pointed the same weapon he allegedly used to shoot Jimenez at them when they confronted him as he walked toward his pick-up truck.
The incident occurred at a family gathering and is alleged to have been preceded by a domestic dispute between Bull’s daughter and the deceased, who share a child.
