Man out on bail on rape charge remanded to prison after violating terms of bail

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Ronlee Petillo, who was out on bail on a charge of rape, has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison for violating the terms of his bail by being charged with another offence.

Petillo appeared in court this morning where his bail was revoked. He was accused of and charged for rape in December 2022. In May he was granted bail but in June he was arrested for being a member of a gang.

The terms of his bail stipulated that he must not be arrested while out on bail. He is set to stand trial for rape during the January session of the High Court.
