Belize Men’s National Team midfielder Warren Moss wins WHAC Conference Soccer Tournament with Indiana Tech Warriors

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize Men’s National Team midfielder Warren Moss has crowned a good season with the Indiana Tech Warriors winning the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Soccer Conference Tournament.

Last Saturday, November 12, the #2 seeded Indiana Tech Warriors defeated the #1 Aquinas 2-1 at Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Moss provided the assist for the winning goal.

“That would be all the scoring until Andreas Michael scored in the 66th minute on the Warren Moss assist to make it 2-0,” the WHAC said in a write-up on their website.

“The goal would prove important as just moments later, in the 70th minute, WHAC Offensive Player of the Year, Ricardo Rittersberger scored an unassisted goal to cut the lead in half. Despite a late push by Aquinas, Indiana Tech held off the Saints to earn the tournament title.”

“20 minutes into the second half freshman Andreas Michael would score a crucial second goal after a brilliant pass to the top of the 18-yard box from Warren Moss,” Indiana Tech said on their website.

The title is Indiana Tech’s fifth consecutive WHAC Soccer Tournament championship.

The FFB congratulated Moss for his achievement.

“Congratulations Warren! Continue doing big things and representing Belize,” the FFB posted on social media.

Moss is studying at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana in the United States on a partial scholarship under the FFB Scholarship program.

Moss is the son of Nelson Moss and Rachel Johnson Moss. He comes from a long line of footballers. Nelson and his brothers all played football at the highest level in Belize with Nelson owning and managing Wagiya for many years now.
