Belize need a draw against St Vincent and the Grenadines to stay in Concacaf League B, a win could even mean League A

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The possibilities are multiple for the Belize Men’s National Football Team on Tuesday as they tackled St Vincent and the Grenadines at 1:00 pm in Grenada in the Concacaf Champions League B last game.

Group C is the tightest group in the Concacaf championship with two points separating leaders Bermuda (8) from last place Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (6). French Guiana and Belize are in the middle with seven apiece.

That means that any of the four could finish first and Belize or St Vincent and the Grenadines can finish in last place.

What’s for sure is that the winners will be promoted to League A and the last place squad will descend to League C.

The Teams that finish in second and third places will remain in League B.

For Belize that translates into getting at least a draw to remain in League B. A win, which would push up the BMNT to ten points could earn promotion to League A but that depends on the Bermuda-French Guiana score. If Belize were to win and they draw, Belize finishes first. If Belize were to win and French Guiana win, goal-difference would decide who tops the group. If Belize wins but Bermuda win, then Bermuda advances.

With all four teams having a chance to either win it all, expect two exciting matches.

Both are being played at the same time: 1:00 pm.

Belize are taking on St Vincent and the Grenadines at the Kirani James Stadium in St George’s, Grenada while French Guiana are hosting Bermuda at the Pierre Aliker Stadium in Fort De France in Martinique.
