BREAKING: Police charge minor, 16, with murder in Gracie Rock

By Aaron Humes: Police have announced the arrest and charges of a 16-year-old from Police Street, Belize City, with the murder of Denver Denmark Montero, which occurred at Gracie Rock Village on April 2, 2023.

Montero and others were swimming in the Belize River near the hammock bridge when they were attacked by a group of 12 men and boys, who robbed them and shot Montero and Ryan Kerr before fleeing.

Police ultimately caught up with a minivan carrying 12 persons, also recovering much of what was stolen.

Tyrone Young was charged days after with the murder of Montero and attempted murder of Kerr, but Police said his son and others were suspected of involvement.
