Ministry of Agriculture showcases Agricultural initiatives at Escuela Secundaria Mexico Junior College’s open day

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise’s Corozal Agriculture Department is actively participating at Escuela Secundaria Mexico Junior College’s open day.

The team is showcasing various displays highlighting its extensive work in the field of agriculture promoting agricultural initiatives and fostering collaborations. 

At the Escuela Secundaria Mexico Junior College open day, visitors and farmers have the opportunity to explore interactive displays that demonstrate the department’s diverse projects and contributions to the agricultural sector.

“From innovative farming techniques to environmental conservation efforts, the displays aim to educate and inspire students and the public about the importance of agriculture in our society,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry is also participating in the University of Belize open day, where numerous organizations are gathering to showcase their work. 

To commemorate the event, an opening ceremony was held, where representing the Ministry of Agriculture was the Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Victorian Pascual.

A highlight of the event was the signing of a renewal memorandum of understanding between the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) and the University of Belize, further solidifying their partnership in advancing agricultural research and development initiatives.
